Research Interests

Scott's research focuses on managerial views of the practice and profession of Human Resources. In particular, his research investigates the common gap between what organizations say about investing in people and what they actually do. Scott is an active member of the Innovation for Social Good (ISG) research cluster at TRU. The ISG research cluster brings together faculty and students from a range of disciplines to create new knowledge about innovation that improves lives, organizations, and communities.

Employment History

Prior to completing his PhD, Scott enjoyed a career as an HR advisor and leader in Canada's Energy Industry. In his most recent role, he led HR and Communications professionals at one of Canada's largest integrated oil and gas companies.
