Professional Designations

Upon completing a degree, many students go on to earn one or more professional designations which attest to a candidate’s knowledge and skills in a particular business discipline. Increasingly, these credentials are becoming a requirement for employment and job advancement.

Professional designations vary in their level of difficulty, but most are extremely rigorous, involving extensive course work, accreditation exams, and a lengthy work experience requirement. A few, such as the CPA or CFA designations, are considered equivalent to a master's degree in the field.

Students are encouraged to follow the links below and learn as much as possible so they can make the best career choices possible. Knowing more about the programs will also help students select their courses and establish employment contacts for after graduation.
