Program Delivery Methods

The program uses a blended delivery model, with students exposed to a range of face-to-face and virtual learning.

These include interactive meeting sites for discussion; face-to-face lab instruction and practice with simulated and standardized clients; as well as preceptored clinical practice hours that provide opportunities to integrate theory and practice in a practice setting.

Course activities and assignments will be designed to build individual and collective knowledge by reflecting upon personal, professional, and theoretical knowing to create deeper understanding of course concepts—as well as drawing upon lived experience and expertise of classmates and invited guest speakers, presentations, and individual and group analysis of clinical decision making from student practice examples, including case studies.

Assignment topics in theory courses, and the directed health study courses, are all intended to foster engagement with literature and best practice that builds understanding of course concepts and NP practice.
