TRU’s Centre for Academic Integrity (CAI) oversees the implementation of Policy ED 05-0 Student Academic Integrity. The CAI is located within the Office of Mission Fulfilment and Quality Assurance (MFQA).
Our mandate
The CAI fosters a culture of academic integrity at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) through education, collaboration and strategic leadership. It ensures that policy on academic integrity is carried out in a fair, transparent and timely manner. Working with campus partners, the CAI facilitates diverse evidence-based educational initiatives and resources to support students and faculty on academic integrity principles and practices. The CAI promotes shared accountability and a commitment to continuous review and improvement of policy and practice.

The CAI is here to help all members of the TRU community through providing guidance and resources to students, staff and faculty to assist in resolving academic integrity cases. The learning strategist assists students throughout the case process and helps them understand their rights and responsibilities.
The CAI helps the TRU community by:
- Providing appropriate training for decision makers
- Coordinating the academic integrity case process
- Providing administrative support for the Academic Integrity Committee (AIC) meetings
- Providing meetings for students offering guidance on the case process and sharing educational materials
