At TRU, students at both Undergraduate and Graduate levels are engaged in meaningful research. The TRU Romeo portal allows students to apply for certain internal research awards and research compliance certifications.

Undergraduate Research Experience Award Program (U-REAP)

You must use TRU Romeo to apply for the UREAP award. For details on this program, go to U-REAP Award.

Animal Use Protocol Application – Vertebrates and Invertebrates

If you are engaged in research involving animal subjects, you must obtain certification from the TRU Animal Care Committee. Use these electronic forms to apply for animal use certifications.
NOTE: If you are a student researcher you will need to apply for certifications with your project supervisor as the Principal Investigator and yourself as a Project Team Member. Your supervisor will be required to submit the application on your behalf. Contact the Office of the Vice-President Research if you require assistance.

Human Ethics Research Application – Faculty and Graduate

If you are engaged in research involving human subject, you must obtain certification from the TRU Research Ethics Board. Use this electronic form to apply for human ethics certification.
NOTE: If you are a student researcher you will need to apply for certifications with your project supervisor as the Principal Investigator and yourself as a Project Team Member.  Your supervisor will be required to submit the application on your behalf. Contact the Office of the Vice-President Research if you require assistance.

Biohazardous Materials use Application

If you are engaged in research involving the use of biohazardous materials, you must obtain certification from the TRU Biohazard Committee. Use this electronic form to apply for Biohazard Certification.
