TRU Connect Submission Form

Note: TRU Connect shares internal communications with employees using @tru.ca login credentials only. TRU Connect messages do not reach students. 

Share your communications on TRU Connect

MarCom communications staff will publish your post (news, notices, kudos) or event on your behalf. We will edit for style and length, and may follow up with questions. Please select either Submit a Post or Submit an Event below. 

Submissions will be published in three to five business days, with priority given to time-sensitive, action-required content.

A short, active, expressive headline, max. 7 words.

State your post’s key takeaway in 20 words for notifications.

The default author is MarCom, but you can submit an alternate author, such as a department or individual, with your desired contact email, e.g. Secretariat, secretariat@tru.ca.

Please provide your message text, up to 150 words. You can also include notes to MarCom, e.g. date and time for any deadlines, scheduling questions, web links, story ideas.

Required dimensions for photos are 1200 pixels wide by 675 pixels high at 72 ppi or higher, in JPG format only. No posters or other text-heavy images, please. If you don’t have a photo, MarCom will select something appropriate from our TRU Connect gallery. For detailed information, links to web pages are preferred, but TRU Connect posts can include PDF attachments (max. 1 mb), e.g. nomination forms.

Sum up your event’s call to action in 20 words for notifications.

Does your event require immediate action, e.g. advance registration? Indicate your required publish-by date and time here and we will expedite your event.

Select the starting date of your event. If it lasts several days, include the full date and time details in your Event Content information below.

Provide the times for your event.

Provide the in-person location (e.g. HL 190) and/or a virtual venue (e.g. MS Teams) and the link

For events that repeat WEEKLY, MarCom will create duplicate events for you. Please include all dates in the sequence under Event Content below.
For events that repeat MONTHLY, please submit a new form for each month.

Please provide your event information, up to 150 words. Include virtual meeting or registration links, registration deadlines and host contact info. You can also include notes/questions for MarCom, e.g. on registration setup.


Indicate the date to register by, mm/dd/yyyy, and closing time if applicable.

Images must be 1200 pixels wide by 675 pixels high at 72 ppi resolution or higher. JPG format only. No text-based graphics, please. If you don’t supply an image, MarCom will select one for you. Upload additional event details in Word or RTF format.
