Connect your education to the career you want
Career & Experiential Learning is excited to welcome our international students to Canada and provide guidance and support on their professional career development journey.
Anyone who works in Canada must have a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to legally be permitted to work and to have access to government programs and benefits. Employers will ask for proof of SIN (e.g.: Confirmation of SIN letter or Canadian Revenue Agency tax papers) before you begin work.
For more information on SINs, visit Service Canada or to learn your responsibilities as a SIN holder, read the SIN Code of Practice.

Recent Graduates
There are many pathways that allow recent international graduates to work in Canada after their academic program is completed.
Recent international graduates can apply for a post-grad work permit; they can also look for more long-term residency in Canada through programs like the Canadian Experience Class or the employer driven BC Provincial Nominee Program.
