Faculty Development and Feedback

Seeking feedback and taking opportunities to reflect on your teaching is one of the best ways to improve your teaching practice and your students' learning. If you can collect multiple pieces of feedback, you will get an even clearer picture of your teaching strengths and areas for growth; from there, it might be helpful to create an action plan.

In this section, you'll find information about the following opportunities for feedback and reflection about your teaching:

  • Student course evaluations, including information for students and faculty, course evaluation reports, and Q&A about the faculty dashboard;
  • Peer review of teaching and instructional support, including the process and options for templates and forms; and
  • The Teaching Triangles program, which invites you to learn about your own teaching practice from observing colleagues’ classes.

We in CELT are always happy to talk with you about your teaching practice and to help you interpret course evaluation feedback. Please feel free to reach out to us at CELT@tru.ca.
