Whether you're new to aviation or drone technology, this program is your gateway to becoming a certified drone operator. Through a dynamic blend of classroom instruction and hands-on field training, you'll gain the essential skills and confidence to fly drones safely and professionally.
Our curriculum is fully aligned with Transport Canada’s requirements for basic drone certification, ensuring you're ready to take flight with the right credentials.

What you will learn Learn from seasoned drone professionals
This program goes beyond the basics to prepare you for real-world drone operations. You'll explore aviation regulations, safety protocols, flight planning and emergency procedures—all with a strong focus on flying in diverse conditions.
To set you up for success, the program begins with four weeks of pre-reading and online ground school, giving you a solid foundation before you take to the skies. Training is led by seasoned drone professionals who bring industry insight and hands-on experience to every lesson. Your first attempt at the Transport Canada Basic RPAS exam fees are included in your tuition.

Program requirements
Applicants must:
- Be at least 14 years old
- Have adequate vision and physical ability to operate a drone safely
- Commit to active participation in both classroom and field training
Certified drone operator limits
Graduates of this program can operate drones (250 g to 25 kg) under Transport Canada regulations:
- Up to 120m Above Ground Level (AGL)
- Must be 30m away from people, buildings and infrastructure
- In controlled airspace: must be 3NM (5.6 km) away from airports and 1NM (1.9 km) away from heliports
