If you have any questions about 2L, student involvement, life in Kamloops etc. please reach out, I'd be happy to chat.

Hi, I'm Jenn and I'm a 2L student at TRU Law. As an Okanagan girl, TRU is where I always hoped to study and have nothing but amazing things to say. One of the reasons that my experience here has been so great is that the students in TRU's Faculty of Law are all working together and helping each other, which is more important than ever in a professional program. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions that you have about the program, I'd be happy to chat with you about my experiences thus far, both in and leading up to law school.
Hi, my name is Kaitlyn, and I am 2L here at TRU Law. I was born and raised in metro Vancouver, but also lived in the BC interior for a couple of years as well. I completed my undergraduate degree in the USA, where I was a four-year student-athlete, before going straight to law school. During my 1L summer, I worked for a criminal law firm in metro Vancouver, and currently intend on continuing down the criminal law path. At TRU, I've enjoyed being involved in Pro Bono Students Canada, various clubs, and other extracurriculars. I am happy to discuss anything from moving to/living in Kamloops, the transition to law school, different classes, or areas of law, and/or answer any general questions you may have. Please feel free to reach out any time!
I graduated in 2023, and I am working in government as a Program Administrator of Family Law Programs, helping people in the Yukon navigate the family law processes. I am also a mother and grandmother who started law school at 50! My experience at TRU has been through the lens of Covid but found my learning experience as thought provoking and informative as my in person classes have been. You can reach out to me anytime to chat about my experience or answer any questions you may have! Good luck!
Hey, I'm Marina, a 3L student at TRU Law. Originally from Toronto, I moved to the interior of BC 6 years prior to law school for my undergraduate studies, where I have remained ever since. Hello! I'm Nadia and I am currently a 2L student at TRU Law. I've enjoyed my experiences here so far because of the Faculty and Staff who go out of their way to remind you how qualified and capable you are of achieving your goals. TRU Law is truly a collegial environment where everyone supports each other, both academically and outside of the classroom. Moving to Kamloops from Toronto, Ontario had it's challenges but I can say without a doubt it has made me stronger and been the most rewarding learning experience. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about life in Kamloops, the academics at TRU Law, or any other topics you would like to discuss. I'd be so happy to help since it wasn't too long ago that I was on the roller-coaster ride of the law school admission process, and it was the people I met along the way that made the experience manageable and enjoyable!
