  • Mike Harrington

    Mike
    harringtonm19@mytru.ca

    About

Mike is one of our most mature students (chronologically) and belongs to the Class of '23, who did 1L entirely over Zoom due to the pandemic. He entered law in his late 40s with an 11-year-old son, endeavoring to start a second career. Since starting law school, Mike has returned to BC, settling his family on Vancouver Island. He is a firm believer in law as a second career and believes strongly that mature students are valuable to law schools and the profession generally. When he's not studying you will find him mountain biking, fly fishing, or making a racket with his guitar. He still doesn't know what kind of lawyer he wants to be when he grows up.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about life in Kamloops, the academics at TRU Law, or any other topics you would like to discuss. I'd be so happy to help since it wasn't too long ago that I was on the roller-coaster ride of the law school admission process, and it was the people I met along the way that made the experience manageable and enjoyable!
