TRU Green Leaders Program
A voluntary program open to any staff or faculty member. Members can join at any time.
The aim of the program is to have at least one staff or faculty member from each academic and non-academic office or department throughout TRU join the program and serve as the sustainability representative for their office or department — the Green Leader.
Green Leaders work with the program coordinator from the TRU Sustainability Office on four main program components:
-
Receive information about sustainability initiatives and share it with members of their office or department
- Information will usually be shared by email from the program coordinator about sustainability-related initiatives happening now or planned for the future at TRU or in the local community.
-
Pass along ideas to the program coordinator on how to improve sustainability-related features at TRU or start new ones
- The coordinator will share ideas with Sustainability Office staff or other TRU members who are most closely aligned with them.
- Ideas will be discussed, prioritized and brought to life whenever possible.
- Participate in sustainability initiatives when possible
- Attend quarterly meetings (45–60 minutes), either on Teams or in person
