Sergio Ortega
BComm (Alberta), JD (UVic)
Sergio is a coach of the Wilson Moot.
Sergio practices tax and commercial litigation. Sergio advises individual, corporate, and institutional clients on a wide range of issues. His experience includes matters involving transfer pricing, provincial property taxes, contractual disputes, and administrative law.
Sergio joined Osler as a summer student in 2017 and completed his articles with the firm in 2018-2019.
Prior to joining Osler, Sergio completed the J.D. program at the University of Victoria. During his time at the University of Victoria, Sergio worked as a tutor to his peers and as a research assistant to Carol Liao, Tim Richards, and the British Columbia Law Institute. Sergio also participated in the Environmental Law Centre and the Business Law Clinic.
