With a group or on your own, there are several ways to can make a contribution to sustainability at TRU and in the community.

Programs

Our ever-growing roster of programs includes a sustainability educators program, a volunteer program, a film series, student and staff/faculty ambassador programs, and a walking tour.

Resusable Cutlery Program

TRU is eliminating the use of plastic cutlery.

Achievement awards

Recognition for students, staff and faculty who make contributions toward advancing sustainability.

Clubs and committees

Learn about taking part in student clubs, TRU committees and community organizations.

Sustainability Research Grants for Faculty and Students

Applications will soon be invited for both the TRU Sustainability Research Grant for Faculty and the TRU Sustainability Research Grant for Students.

Fill It Forward

Make a positive impact with reusable containers, for the environment and for water charities.

Sustainability Grant Fund for Staff, Faculty and Students

We are now accepting applications for the TRU Sustainability Grant Fund. You could receive up to $100,000.

Solar Table Design Competition

Students compete with designs for outdoor tables that promote renewable energy.

We are currently accepting nominations for the Environmental Sustainability Achievement Awards and the Tom Owen award.
