During the fall session of 2020, all workshops and groups will be offered virtually.
Find Your Path: In this workshop, participants examine their interests, values and personality and discover occupations that align with their profiles. Once possible career pathways are identified, finding matching educational program becomes much easier.
Date & Time: Thursdays at 3 – 4 pm.

Soup and Self
Soup and Self is an introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation, taught as a weekly, 75 minute class over four weeks. Each class concludes around a table where soup and conversation are enjoyed. The program follows the teaching of the book, “Mindfulness for the Next Generation: Helping Emerging Adults Manage Stress and Lead Healthier Lives.”
Participants must commit to all four sessions.
Introduction to Self-Compassion

A drop-in workshop that introduces and explores the concept of self-compassion while providing practical tools for participants to incorporate in their daily lives opportunities to treat themselves compassionately in times of personal suffering and//or struggles.
This workshop is being offered jointly with the Wellness Centre.
A 7-week on line psycho-educational and support group for young adults who experience anxiety
Learn evidence-based strategies to cope with stress, worries and anxiety
Engage in fun and creative activities that deepen your learning and allow you to practice the techniques in a safe and friendly environment
Connect with other students who have similar experiences
Mandatory Information session: Wednesday, January 27th or February 5th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm
Seats in the group are limited and will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
Wednesdays 5:30 -8:00pm, Starts February 10th - Ends March 31st, 2021 (no session on February 17th)
Weekly session are led by trained TRU Counsellors. YMCA Mindfulness Groups are free. No diagnosis or referral is needed to participate.
