Sense of Belonging Socials
Join TRU Counsellor Mark for the Sense of Belonging workshop series. Topics of discussion will include connection, community and creating a sense of belonging!
A sense of belonging is a basic human need that has great positive impact on our overall wellbeing. Experiencing connection and community can lead to higher levels of self-esteem and life satisfaction. Belonging is a foundational piece which contributes to emotional safety and the security to be authentic. Join Mark in conversation around what belonging means to you and how we can build connections in our lives.

Relationships 101
Being in love is a beautiful thing, but it can also be a real heartbreaker. In Relationships 101, Chelsea Koronko and Kristin Robinson will help you navigate, cope, recover and find community. Register to join all four sessions, which will take place on Wednesdays from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the SV Office (OM 1486).
Sept. 24, Session 1: Situationships and shiny new sweethearts
Chelsea and Kristin will focus on the highs and lows of the early stages of relationships. Whether that’s joining or leaving dating apps, preparing for first dates, or navigating situationships, they’ll explore the beginnings of connecting with someone romantically.
Oct. 1, Session 2: Red Flags, First Loves and Big Feelings
Chelsea and Kristin will unpack buzz words like “boundaries” and how to establish, understand and respect them. They’ll also identify red, yellow and green flags, communication basics, and consent.
Oct. 8 - Session 3: Relationship Deep Dive
Chelsea and Kristin will explore relationship reflections, experiences of safety, communication, repair, and equity.
Oct. 15- Session 4: Heartbreaks, Goodbyes and Moving On
In their last session, fittingly, Chelsea and Kristin will explore break-ups, relationship grief, and how to navigate pain and move on after heartbreak.
Yoga for Recovery & Self- Regulation
Join Counsellor Andrea Brassard for weekly movement sessions that tap into the power of community connections, relationships, self-compassion, and self-love. As a facilitator, Andrea utilizes the creative arts to guide the healing journey; her approaches to wellness are varied and diverse, and her worldview is holistic.
