Required documents to support your application
- 1. Evidence of active registration as a nurse in British Columbia. Current, practicing BCCNM licensure is required while enrolled in the program. You can provide a verification report from BCCNM.
- Evidence of a minimum of two years of relevant full-time (or equivalent to full-time) registered nursing practice within the last five years – about 3600 over 5 years. A document or screenshot from BCCNM account showing your hours. Once logged into your BCCNM account, you can find these under “Practice hours” link
- Curriculum Vitae or Resume
- Statement of interest. Please refer to the TRU School of Nursing MN-NP admission criteria for information on what to include in your statement
- If applicable, English Language Proficiency test:
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) a minimum score of 7.0 and the following sub-test scores: Speaking 7.0, Writing 7.0; Listening 7.5; Reading 6.5
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- iBT: a minimum score of 100 (iBT) with no section below a 20
- Paper-Based: 600 with a TWE of 5.0
- Two letters of reference. A weblink will be provided to you to share with your referees after TRU receives your application
- Official copies of all post-secondary transcripts. Instructions for submitting transcripts is available at tru.ca/transcript
Documents 1-4 (5 if applicable) must be uploaded with your Education Planner BC online application.
