Employment History

Peter (TRU BBA '04) came to the Department of Economics in Fall 2009. Periodically, he also teaches at our partner institution, the Tianjin Institute of Technology in Tianjin, China.

Prior to joining the department, Peter was employed as an Senior Economist and Policy Analyst in the Industrial Research and Analysis Directorate within Industry Canada, in Ottawa. He worked heavily on the Canadian Climate Change Action Plan. During this period, he was the Industry Canada representative at the National Roundtable for the Environment and Economy (NRTEE). He also worked on Canada's position for the international negotiations with the United Nations in Copenhagen.

Besides Climate Change, Peter worked on a wide range of other topics including: Regional Economic Diversification, the Automotive Innovation Fund, Funding for the Canadian Space Agency, Canadian Manufacturing Strategy, Canada-US Border thickness, Export Diversification, and many more budget and non-budget files.
