Interests

My Vietnamese name is Le Nguyen Hoang Giang. I am a proud queer feminist scholar and a Southeast Asian descendant mindfully living and working on the land of the Secwepemc, within Secwepemc'ulucw, the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwepemc People.

I started my journey to Canada back in 2017 as an M.Ed. student at TRU and left for PhD in Education Studies at Brock University in 2019. I have returned to TRU to teach in the Graduate Programs in Education since 2023. My scholarship and research agenda revolves around queer studies, feminist pedagogy, and multimodal visual arts-based approaches to education. I offer co-supervision to students who are drawn to research projects and have interests that align with my expertise areas.
