Kathy Kendall, K.C.

Kathy Kendall, K.C., received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 1983. She was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1984 and opened her own law practice shortly thereafter. After running her practice for a year, Kathy joined the Legal Services Society in Kamloops, B.C., as a Staff Lawyer. Kathy practiced primarily in the areas of administrative and family law and child protection. In 2010, after 25 years with the Legal Services Society, Kathy decided to start her own practice. She currently operates as a sole practitioner, focusing on family and child protection law, and is the Lead Family Duty Counsel for Provincial and Supreme Courts.

Throughout her many years of practice, Kathy has made significant contributions to public legal education through workshops and providing summary legal advice. She has also donated her time and expertise to many causes locally and internationally, through service and leadership.

Kathy will be co-teaching Ethical Lawyering in the 2022-23 academic year.
