Open admission

Admission Recommendations

  • A Grade 12 diploma
  • Foundations of Mathematics 11, Chemistry 12, Anatomy & Physiology 12, English Studies 12/English First Peoples 12 and Physics 11 (all with a C+ average) or equivalent

Residency Requirements

A minimum of 6 TRU credits (online or on-campus)

Core Knowledge Requirements (24 or 25 credits)

  • BIOL 1593, Anatomy and Physiology I (3 credits)
  • BIOL 1693, Anatomy and Physiology II (3 credits)
  • ENGL 1101, Composition (3 credits)
  • HLTH 2501, Pathophysiology (4 credits)
  • HLTH 2511, Introduction to Pharmacology (3 credits)
  • PSYC 1111, Introductory Psychology I (3 credits)
  • One of:
    • PSYC 2111, Introduction to Research in Experimental Psychology (3 credits)
    • PSYC 2101, Statistics in the Social Sciences (3 credits)
    • STAT 1201, Introduction to Probability and Statistics (3 credits)

Elective Requirements (2 or 3 credits)

One of:

  • Current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification offered by the Justice Institute: 105 hrs/15 days full-time, calculated using TRU policy ED 8-0 ( PDF, 367 KB) or equivalent (2) or
  • Either MATH 1101, Finite Mathematics (3); PSYC 1211, Introductory Psychology II (3); CMNS 1811, Professional and Academic Composition (3); or program advisor-approved equivalent (3)
