Faculty/Department Award Payment Requests

Student Awards & Financial Aid can assist TRU faculty and staff with their requests to make award payments to students from funds controlled by their academic or administrative department. (Please note that this process cannot be used for funding managed by Research & Grad Studies, the TRU Foundation, or TRU Athletics).

The form below streamlines the process and assists TRU faculty and staff with ensuring the necessary information is gathered.

Before proceeding with the form, please ensure the following:

  • You are a TRU faculty or staff member requesting to award students using a designated account* that you or your department controls.
  • Your request has approval from someone with signing authority on that specific Fund & Org.
  • The total award amount being requested for this fiscal is currently available in the designated account.
  • All students whom you wish to award are active students* at TRU.
  • You have the full names and TRU ID numbers for all students you wish to award.

These award requests will fall into two categories:

New

A request is considered new if it has never been made before, either through this form or previously communicated by email to Student Awards (studentawards@tru.ca), and you do not have a four-digit Award Code provided by Student Awards.

If your request is new, you will be asked to provide the title of the award (what you want it to be called) and any other information about the purpose, specific criteria, and/or award description.

If your request results in the creation of an ongoing award (awarded for multiple years or payments split across more than one fiscal year), Student Awards will provide you with a four-digit code for future returning requests.

Returning

A request is considered returning if a previous award request of this kind has been made, either through this form or communicated to Student Awards by email, and you are requesting a subsequent disbursement of funds connected to a previous submission, and/or you are using an existing Award Code provided by Student Awards.

You will still be required to confirm the designated Fund & Org information and signing authority for the account.
