TMGT 4021: Graduating Seminar
Students complete an independent project that integrates knowledge acquired in the Bachelor of Tourism Management program and present the project in a professional written document and formal oral presentation.
Learning outcomes
- Increase self-direction, imagination, and creativity through identifying a tourism topic of individual interest and developing and carrying out a strategy to understand it better.
- Improve traditional and electronic research skills through gathering secondary information.
- Develop analytical, synthesizing, and writing skills by reporting and integrating the results of secondary research.
- Hone communication and leadership skills through sharing project progress with peers.
- Build advanced organizational and writing skills by creating a written project product.
- Advance public speaking skills by presenting project outcomes to peers.
- Hone skills of critical thinking, critique, and peer mentorship by reflecting and commenting on others’ project proposals and outcomes.

Assessments
To successfully complete this course, students must achieve a passing grade of 50% or higher on the overall course, and 50% or higher on the Mandatory Final Project.
