TRU’s SDG Action Bingo

Learn about, participate in, take action on the SDGs

TRU students, TRU employees, and all members of the Kamloops community are all invited to take part for free in TRU’s SDG Action Bingo during SDG Month in March 2026.

SDG Month Canada is a national initiative with Canada’s universities and colleges to increase awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are 17 global goals designed to address the world’s most pressing social, environmental, and economic challenges, from climate action and clean energy to quality education, health, and equity. SDG Action Bingo is a fun way to learn about the goals and take meaningful action close to home.

How SDG Action Bingo works

  1. Get your bingo card (6x6)
Your card has 36 squares: two squares for each of the 17 SDGs, plus two Free squares. Download your card. Cards can also be picked up at TRU’s Sustainability Office, or look for them around campus and Kamloops locations.
    Download your card
  2. Join an event or take your own SDG personal action
    Choose from two options:
    • Community activities related to SDGs: Take part in activities or events happening during March on campus or in the Kamloops community, each linked to at least one SDG.
      Explore event ideas
    • Take-action list: everyday personal actions you can do on your own, also linked to at least one SDG. You can also create your own action and match it to the SDG that fits best.
      Explore personal actions
  3. Mark one square per SDG activity or personal action
When you complete an activity or personal action, mark one linked SDG square on your card (not both squares for the same SDG). To be eligible for prizes, be sure to take a selfie at the event you are attending, or before and after photos showing your personal action.
  4. Get a bingo and win!
A bingo is six squares in a row: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.

Submitting your bingo

Once you have a bingo (six in a row), submit your photos using the online form. A small committee will review submissions to confirm eligibility.

Prizes

Each confirmed bingo entry is entered into a grand prize draw—valued at $1,000*. One prize is available for TRU students, one for TRU employees, and one for Kamloops community members. Additional prize draws throughout the month.

*Winners will receive the value of $1,000 towards TRU-run services, including TRU Food Services, the Bookstore, the printshop, parking, or a combination of these. Or you can even pay for tuition! Each winner can choose how to use their $1,000 prize.
