Eligibility

Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.67 and have completed 48 credits before beginning their first work term. Students that complete three work terms (four months each) will achieve a Co-op designation on their transcript.

 Bachelor of Business Administration

The Co-op program is open all Bachelor of Business Administration students.

Eligibility

Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.67, and have completed or are enrolled in the following courses before beginning their first work-term: ECON 1900, ECON 1950, MIST 2610, ACCT 2210, ACCT 2250 and ECON 2320. Students that complete three work terms (four months each) will achieve a Co-op designation on their transcript.

Eligibility

Bachelor of Computing Science - students must have maintained a term and cumulative GPA of 2.33 in all BSc courses, have completed COMP 2230 and 2920 prior to their first work term. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 on-campus Computing Science (COMP) courses per Academic Semester.

Eligibility

We are looking for students that are highly career motivated and keen to complete multiple work terms. Students that complete three work terms (four months each) will achieve a Co-op designation on their transcript.

Bachelor of Science, Computing Science - students must have maintained a term and cumulative GPA of 2.33 in all BSc courses, have completed COMP 2230 and 2920 prior to their first work term. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 on-campus Computing Science (COMP) courses per academic semester.

Students must achieve a minimum cumulative GPA depending on their program:
  • Bachelor of Natural Resource Science: cumulative GPA of 2.33 and first year courses complete
  • Bachelor of Science, Biology Major: cumulative GPA of 2.33, first year courses complete, and will have complete three of BIOL 2160, BIOL 2170, BIOL 2280 and BIOL 2290 before the first work-term
  • Bachelor of Science, Chemistry/Environmental Chemistry Major: cumulative GPA of 2.33, first year courses complete and CHEM 1500/1510 or CHEM 1500/1520, and anticipate completing CHEM 2120/2220 and CHEM 2100/2250 prior to the first work term. For students applying to Co-op in third year, CHEM 3100 and CHEM 3120 or CHEM 3170 must be completed prior to the first work term, and at least one of the following: CHEM 3060, 3070, and 3080, or CHEM 3220, 3230 and 3240, or CHEM 3310, 3320, 3330.
  • Bachelor of Science, Math: cumulative GPA of 2.67 and completed a minimum of 48 credits before biginning their first work-term
  • Bachelor of Science, Physics Major: cumulative GPA of 2.33. 2nd and 3rd year Physics students who have completed or anticipate completing the following courses with a minimum cumulative 2.33 GPA prior to the first work term: PHYS 1100/1200 or 1150/1250, PHYS 2000, PHYS 2200, PHYS 2250, MATH 2110, MATH 2120, MATH 3170. As well, students must complete the following courses with a minimum cumulative 2.33 GPA prior to the first January work term in third year: PHYS 3200, PHYS 3250,and PHYS 3400; OR , PHYS 3090, PHYS 3140 and PHYS 3160. Completion of COMP 1130 or COMP 1520 is highly recommended. Preference will be given to students with a demonstrated background in computers and electronics.

The Co-op program is open for Software Engineering students. The five-year, undergraduate degree in software engineering includes two mandatory work terms after students have completed their third year of academic courses.

Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.33 and must be registered in full-time classes on campus at TRU the semester prior to their work term. All students must complete COOP 1000 before their first work term.
