Postal strike and outgoing mail
The Canada Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has moved to rotating strike action. However, we have no service through BCMail until further notice due to the BCGEU labour disruptions. This will impact our operations as follows:
Mail distribution
- Open Learning course packages will ship by Canada Post on Friday Oct. 16, 2025.
- Rush envelope mail will be delivered to the Canada Post depot.
- TRU is starting to receive parcels again.
If you have any larger volume envelope mail for Canada Post, please contact distribution@tru.ca first.
Vendor payments
TRU is now paying all vendors by electronic funds transfer (EFT) or wire. Please reach out to accountspayable@tru.ca. Please ask your vendors to sign up for the process by asking for a registration form from accountspayable@tru.ca.
Transcripts
Available options for students:
Pick-Up service:
You are welcome to place a transcript order and choose “Hold for Pick-Up” to collect your official transcript in person from our office during regular business hours.
Courier service:
For an additional fee of $50, we can arrange for transcripts to be delivered via a courier service. As soon as your order is placed and the additional $50 payment is made, immediately send an email to transcripts@tru.ca to request this option. Payments can be made through your myTRU account or by calling the campus cashier at 250-371-5646 ext. 6.
If you have already submitted a request for a regular mail transcript, please email transcripts@tru.ca to alter the delivery method to one of the alternative options above to receive your transcripts without delay.
