Excavations
General Requirement
All excavation work shall be carried out in accordance with the
specifications and requirements of the WCB Regulations - Section 38.
Shoring / Sloping
All excavations which are four (4) feet or more in depth will be
adequately shored or sloped in accordance with WCB Regulations -
Section 38.
Notice of Project
A properly complete Notice of Project which has been forwarded to the WCB and acknowledged prior to commencing work will:
- be posted on site at any excavation over four feet in depth; and
- be copied to the Occupational Health and Safety Department prior to the commencement of work.
The Occupational Health and Safety Department can assist in the preparation and completion of the Notice of Project documentation.
