SRCL 1000: Community Service-Learning
SRCL 1000 (formerly SERV 1000) is for community-minded first-year students wanting exposure to academic, volunteer service and cultural experience connected within and beyond the university context.
This course gives you opportunities to connect your academic course work with service in community organizations in Kamloops. The primary focus is the service experience. You broaden your personal, cultural, academic and professional knowledge through topics such as workplace culture and career exploration. You demonstrate your service-learning through reflective oral and written assignments.
Prerequisite: Completion of EAP Level 3 (65% or better) or by English placement test into EAP Level 4.
