Application for EAP certificate

Use the checklist below to see which certificate you are eligible for. If you are uncertain of your eligibility for a certificate, you may ask the ELLT advisor for help. Please allow about six weeks for certificate.

EAP Foundations Certificate

• ESAL 0220, 0230, 0250, 0270, 0280 ¹

EAP Intermediate Certificate

• ESAL 0320, 0340, 0350, 0370, 0380 ¹

EAP Pre-Advanced Certificate

• ESAL 0420, 0450, 0470, 0480, and one ESAL elective ^{2 3}

EAP Advanced Certificate

• ESAL 0570, 0580 and three additional courses (either ESAL electives or undergraduate/graduate courses)

EAP with an Introduction to Business

• 12 credits of ESAL Level 4 (ESAL 0420, 0450, 0470 and 0480)
• Three credits of one ESAL elective ^{2 3}
• Six credits in any SOBE courses (BBUS, BUEC, ECON)

EAP with an Introduction to Arts

• 12 credits of ESAL Level 4 (EAP 0420, 0450, 0470 and 0480)
• Three credits of one ESAL elective ^{2 3}
• Six credits in any Faculty of Arts courses

EAP with an Introduction to Fine Arts

• 12 credits of ESAL Level 4 (ESAL 0420, 0450, 0470 and 0480)
• Three credits of one ESAL elective ^{2 3}
• Six credits in any Fine Arts courses

EAP with an Introduction to Sciences

• 12 credits of ESAL Level 4 (EAP 0420, 0450, 0470 and 0480)
• Three credits of one ESAL elective ^{2 3}
• Six credits in any Science courses

1. Students may use core ESAL courses at a higher level to qualify for this certificate.
2. Successful completion of both ESAL 0570 and ESAL 0580 may be used in place of an ESAL elective to qualify for this certificate.
3. SRCL 1000 may be used as an elective in the EAP program.
