Residence Move-in Dates for New International Students

Note

• Early move-in requests should be made to the residence via email.
• If arriving before the residence move-in dates above, please book a hotel/motel/Airbnb.
• Please note that these dates apply to first year international students only.

Homestay

TRU World can assist you with securing Homestay placement (Deadline to apply for Homestay for the Fall 2026 semester is July 15, 2026):

• The monthly fee for Homestay is CAD$1,250. You must pay the fee directly to your host family upon your arrival.
• The following fees are due with your Homestay application:
• CAD$150 processing fee (non-refundable)*
• CAD$625 security deposit which is refundable if no damage occurs
• Send an email to homestay@tru.ca if you are interested, or contact your ISA.

The *CAD$150 processing fee is waived for ISEP (International Student Exchange Program) students. Please review your paperwork if you are unsure and/or confirm with your ISA.
