Senate

The Senate has a legislated set of responsibilities for directing the affairs of the institution and setting policies in accordance with the Thompson Rivers University Act . The Senate has:

1. advisory responsibilities on the development of educational policies for the matters designated under the Act;
   
   
2. the power and duty to set policies, criteria and curriculum for the matters designated under the Act.
