As of Sept. 1, 2017, tuition is free (applicable fees still apply) for students accessing Adult Basic Education (campus or distance) or English as a Second Language. Low-income students can apply for a grant to cover books, a bus pass, and additional university fees.

Adults can upgrade needs ranging from completion of prerequisites to completion of high school. Students wishing to take courses to complete Grade 12 are encouraged to see the academic advisor.
Courses are designed for adult learners and delivered in small, student-centred classes through teaching methods that accommodate students' life experience and different learning styles.
- At least 17 years of age or one year out of school.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident or student permit.
