Thompson Rivers University (TRU) collects, uses, discloses and retains personal information in compliance with the BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (the Act).

Interacting with TRU though this online platform is voluntary, and by registering and subscribing to this service, any personal information you provide will be collected for the purposes of communicating with you and providing you with information about TRU, TRU Open Learning and its programs. Personal information that will be collected includes first, last name, and email address; and may include phone number, postal code, and any comments you enter when communicating with TRU though this platform.

Personal information collected for the purposes outlined above may be stored and accessed outside of Canada, and any servers that may be located in the United States of America will fall under the USA Patriot Act. An agreement is in place between TRU and its service provider, Act-on.com by which Act-on.com will take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and disclosure. The Act-on.com website provides further information regarding their privacy policy.

TRU may also further contact you with respect to your subscription and engagement with TRU.

This consent is effective from the date of completion of this form.
