Kate Mitchell is an SJD Candidate at the University of Toronto. She earned a JD/MPA from Queen's University and her LLM from UCLA, with a specialization in Criminal Justice and Prison Law. Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, she practiced as a criminal and prison lawyer.
Her research focuses on protecting the rule of law and enhancing legal accountability in prison. She was a Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholar.
