TRU Law students are motivated to showcase their talent in a variety of ways and achieve success in many forms. In terms of employment, students find jobs in private practice, with government and public interest organizations, in clerkships and as in-house counsel.

Students land international internships, compete in provincial and national moots, organize and engage in on-campus events and lend their talent to a variety of initiatives. TRU Law alumni are engaged and give back to communities.

Annual TRU Lawggers alumni hockey game

TRU law students and alumni came together for our ninth annual TRU Lawggers alumni hockey game – a spirited and friendly tradition celebrating our community on and off the ice.

TRU Lawggers Alumni Hockey Game

The ninth annual Alumni vs. TRU Lawggers hockey game was a tremendous success, bringing together graduates, students, faculty, and supporters for an exciting and competitive afternoon on the ice. With a fantastic turnout from the community, the event once again proved to be a highlight of the year.

Both teams came ready to play, delivering a fast-paced and spirited game that showcased the talent and camaraderie shared between past and present students of TRU Law. In the end, the alumni team claimed victory and proudly took home the cup after an entertaining matchup.

Individual performances were also recognized. Jacob LaCasse earned MVP honors for the TRU Lawggers with an outstanding performance and strong leadership on the ice. Representing the alumni, Jordan Elenko was named Alumni MVP for his exceptional play throughout the game.

The event would not have been possible without the dedication of those who helped organize it. Special thanks go to Noah Stothart, Cassidy Bell, and Jacob LaCasse for their hard work in planning and coordinating another memorable game.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our referees, Professor O'Fee and Professor Major, as well as our in-house judge, Judge Cleaveley, for volunteering their time and helping ensure the game ran smoothly.

With another successful year in the books, the Alumni vs. TRU Lawggers hockey game continues to strengthen the connection between graduates and current students while celebrating the spirit of the program. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the ice next year for the tenth annual matchup.
