FSD Comms Request Form

I have social media request
Do you want to connect with your audience on social media? We would be happy to write, design, and publish your message on the FSD social media channels!
What to include: Please be specific with your requests! Include the campaign name or title, deadlines, hours of operation, contact details, registration links, a call to action and additional relevant details.
The Process:
  • FSD Comms follows a standard of best practices to curate content and visuals that align with TRU brand guidelines.
  • We focus on providing "just in time" information - posts will be scheduled strategically in our content calendar, based on availability. Please provide your preferred posting date if there is one and we will try our best to accommodate this request.
  • Requests are to be submitted a minimum of 7 business days prior to your preferred posting date. If this is a last-minute request, please indicate that in the 'additional notes' section. The output will be dependent on the team's capacity.
  • For larger requests, please upload a detailed document; our team will follow up to book a meeting.

What to include: Please provide webpage links; include specific instructions, revisions, notes and images.

The Process:

  • FSD Comms follows a standard of best practices to curate visuals that align with TRU brand guidelines.
  • Documents will be proofread before beginning the design.
  • If you'd like to explore options or brainstorm ideas, please indicate so on the form, and the team will follow up to book a meeting.

I have a writing request

Do you have a student success or good news story you would like our Storyteller to write? Send a request to the FSD Comms team and we would be happy to create engaging written content.

What to include: Please be specific with your requests! Include contact information for featured students, staff, faculty or stakeholders, along with a preferred timeframe, supplemental materials, quotes, a call to action and additional relevant details about the testimonials.

The Process:
  • Requests must be submitted a minimum of 7 business days prior to your preferred posting date. If this is a last-minute request, please indicate that in the 'additional notes' section. The output will be dependent on the team's capacity.
  • If you'd like to explore options or brainstorm ideas with the Storyteller, please indicate so on the form and the team will follow up to book a meeting.




Include a quote/testimonial



I have a newsletter submission
Do you have news you'd like to share in Beyond the First Year or In the Know? We'd be happy to feature your story in an upcoming newsletter!
The Storyteller may edit, add quotes and/or supplemental information. Requests will depend on availabile space, engagement criteria & relevance, provision of details or ability to gather needed information before newsletter distrubution.







I have an annual report submission

Do you have a highlight that you would like to feature in the FSD Annual Report?

Please submit any success stories, student achievements, departmental stats, grants/funding, presentations, publications, awards or notable mentions!

Submissions will be reviewed by our Storytelling team. Requests will be approved based on the following:

  • The submission must have occurred between April 01 (prior year) to March 31 (current year), as the report will follow the fiscal year.
  • The Storyteller may edit, add quotes and/or supplemental information. Requests will depend on available space, engagement criteria & relevance, provision of details or ability to gather needed information before the publication date.




(example: students assisted, drop-ins, phone calls, etc)

I have a photo / website bio request

The Process:

  • FSD Comms will schedule a time, date and location for headshots, team photos and other photography requests.
  • Based on capacity, photo edits can take up to 7-10 business days.
  • If you require a bio, please provide details in each question field and our team can shape it into a third-person paragraph.
