The TRU Visiting Student Program allows students from universities worldwide to study at TRU for one or two semesters. Whether you're looking for a short-term international study experience or aiming to transfer credits back to your home institution, TRU provides an engaging and dynamic academic environment.

Student enrollment

International students currently enrolled at a recognized post-secondary institution.

Partner institutions

TRU collaborates with universities worldwide to facilitate credit transfer. Check with your home institution for partnership details.

English proficiency requirements

Individuals meeting TRU’s english proficiency requirements. Check with your home institution for more details.

Ensure selected courses meet degree requirements. A Letter of Permission is recommended.

Select "Visiting Student" and upload:

  • Letter of Permission (optional)
  • Transcript from home institution
  • Copy of passport
  • Proof of English proficiency (if applicable)
Application processing

TRU reviews documents, issues Conditional Letter of Acceptance (CLOA), and requires a $5,000 CAD tuition deposit.

Receive Official Letter of Acceptance (LOA)

TRU will issue LOA after after deposit is received

Tuition and fees

  • Estimated Tuition: ~$10,000 CAD for 12 credits.
  • Tuition Deposit: $5,000 CAD (required for LOA issuance).
  • Additional Costs: Student fees, accommodation, insurance, and personal expenses.
