TRU Day of Giving is an exciting 24-hour event where members of the TRU community worldwide are invited
to come together in support of students at TRU by donating and spreading the word to increase their
impact.
This year, TRU Day of Giving runs from midnight to 11:59:59 p.m. PT on Thursday, Feb.
26.
Every dollar raised helps TRU students achieve their dreams and enhance their learning experiences.
How to be a Day of Giving Champion
- Share the event. Post to your social media and tell your network why TRU matters to
you.
- Tell your story. Your personal connection to philanthropy at TRU makes TRU Day of
Giving real for others.
- Give yourself (every dollar makes a difference) and encourage others to give.
Donate, then share the link and invite your followers to join you.
- Use hashtags. Use #TRUGivingDay and tag
@thompsonriversu and @trugiving so we can share your stories!
Choose Your Cause — examples
- A WolfPack volleyball player can encourage their fans, friends and family to donate to WolfPack
volleyball team scholarships.
- A science major can encourage their network to give to the Area of Greatest Need: Science.
- A person passionate about sustainability can invite people to support the Low Carbon District Energy
System project.
Did you know? There are funds set up that specifically benefit students in each area of
TRU.
If you want to raise funds for a scholarship or project that holds meaning for you, encourage people in
your circle to donate to that fund.
