TRU Physics and Astronomy

TRU Science BuildingThe department of Physics and Astronomy at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is dedicated to providing a learner-centred environment where academic training and technical experience are both delivered in an atmosphere of teaching excellence. If you are looking to do undergraduate studies where faculty are well qualified and accessible, class sizes are just right, and a full range of computer and technical assistance is always available, then enrol at TRU today. The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree with a Physics major (B.Sc. Physics) in two study streams with or without the cooperative (Co-Op) work-experience option. The academic specialization of this degree prepares students for further study (graduate) in physics and astronomy while the Co-Op aspect provides a wide range of practical and hands-on experience in a variety of applied scientific fields. Physics courses in combination with other subjects, create the general Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.). Students who have completed one or more years at other institutions are also welcome to transfer into TRU physics.TRU Campus Activity Centre
