Wednesday, January 5th

10:00am - 12:00pm

We are very excited to welcome community Councilor Bill Sarai from the City of Kamloops to share some words of welcome from the City. In addition, we are pleased to have the team from Tourism Kamloops come to chat with students about what to do here in Kamloops!

Afterwards, we will share information about the Welcome Centre located in the Panorama Center on January 5th, 6th and 7th.

Following that, we will have updates from Tracy in International Admissions, who will update current wait times for course registration and deferrals. Tanvir will give an update on key points from your myTRU account.

Ending day one at noon will allow those students joining the campus tour enough time to travel to campus and meet us at the LEAP Desk downstairs in the International Building.

Thanks for joining us this week. Today from the community, we have RCMP Supt. Lecky and Media Liasion Cst. Crystal Evelyn joining us to share information on safety in Canada and how to avoid scams. Following the RCMP, our colleague Kamal Grewal Chaudhry will share the Office of Student Affairs information.

Afterwards, we will switch gears and share information from the Career and Experiential learning office with presenter Noah Arney. Are you interested in Co-op? Have a resume that needs some polishing? Don’t miss this session!
