Respiratory Health and Sleep Science Conference

Respiratory Health and Sleep Science Conference

Kamloops

In 2013 this program was accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Kamloops Chapter for up to:
16 Mainpro-M1 credits.

This program was accredited for 11 credit hours through the Canadian Sleep Society.

In March of 2013 our interdisciplinary team decided to expand the scope of this conference to include Respiratory Health. The 2014 our conference will include topics on Asthma, COPD community respiratory care and other topics that relate to public health and welfare. The origin of this conference stems from a meeting in June 2009 when an interdisciplinary group of professionals interested in sleep disorders met at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. It was an interesting and productive meeting. In our discussions it became apparent that we needed to meet annually. It was also felt that the discussions needed to be opened up to a larger audience. It was the consensus of the group that a cooperative multidisciplinary approach would advance the practice of sleep medicine in British Columbia.

We wish to involve, Physicians from all medical specialties, Dentists, Respiratory Therapists, Polysomnographic Technologists, Nurses, Psychologists, Researchers, Students and anyone else interested in the study of repiratory health and sleep disorders. Manufacturers may also register and contact us about sponsoring a speaker.
