Illness Management

If faced with COVID-19 symptoms or you have tested positive with COVID-19, we hope you feel better soon. In the meantime, please make necessary notifications outlined below and follow the steps to responsibly manage your illness.

Students with symptoms

Notify your face-to-face instructor(s) if you will be absent. If you test positive, you no longer need to report to the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) but please visit the BCCDC website to learn about COVID-19 treatments and how to responsibly manage your symptoms or illness. TRU's Office of Student Affairs will provide guidance for students navigating extended illnesses.

Instructors/managers of student/employee with symptoms

You are no longer required to make any further notifications.

TRU faculty and staff

If you will be absent, notify your manager/supervisor. If you test positive, you no longer need to report to the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) but please visit the BCCDC website to learn about COVID-19 treatments and how to responsibly manage your symptoms or illness.
