General Code Of Conduct
At all times when participating in TRU Recreation events and activities, participants are expected to conduct themselves in a positive, respectful manner. This includes, but is not limited to, all interactions with students, staff, faculty, and anyone else with whom they are affiliated. There is zero tolerance for physical or verbal abuse and unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind. Violations of these behaviours will result in the suspension from Recreation events and activities. We're all adults - so let's act like it.
TRU Recreation's primary consumer is our students. They will always come first. Specific events/activities may be open to the staff/faculty, alumni, and general public; however, our students will always be the top priority for our programs. As such, students are required to carry their Student Cards with them at all times when participating in Recreation programs. Rec staff may request to see it at any time, and failure to produce it may result in the exemption from the activity/event.
As our activities vary, so do the registration processes and deadlines. Please be sure to double check what the appropriate method is for registering. All registration forms and waivers need to be completed and submitted prior to the entry closing date. Each activity requiring registration will have its own deadline. No registrations will be taken after the deadline. If you require additional assistance with the registration process, please visit the Campus Recreation Office, located in the TRU Gym room 303 (brown building next to the Science building).
By participating in Recreation activities and utilizing the facilities, you freely and voluntarily assume the risks and hazards inherent to the program, facilities, and activities therein and acknowledge that you, as a participant, may suffer personal and potentially serious injury. Please ensure that you understand what these risks are and that you are prepared to accept this element of risk.
Cell Phone & Photography
For the protection of our staff and students' privacy, the use of personal electronic devices for photographic and video purposes is strictly prohibited in change rooms and activity areas. Failure to comply may result in loss of Campus Rec privileges and/or criminal charges. Special permission is available for academic and promotional purposes.
