Campus fitness classes are free for TRU students and TRU staff. Registration is not required; however, classes are on a first-come, first-served basis. All campus fitness classes take place in the Fitness Studio (lower Level of the TRU Gym). Classes are subject to change based on instructor availability.
All classes should be taken at your own pace and intensity. Check with your physician prior to beginning any new exercise regime. Par Q forms must be completed by all participants.

Bootcamp – A combination of strength and cardiovascular exercises. Take class at your own intensity, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced fitness participant.
Zumba – Where “work” is removed from the workout! Low and high intensity moves are mixed for an interval style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. All elements of fitness are combined: cardiovascular conditioning, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility.
Bang For Your Buck Bootcamp – Tabata based boot camp style workout utilizing multi-joints and multi-muscle groups. Seven to eight rounds of different exercises are planned for each muscle group taxed for 20-40 seconds. A high intensity, fat burning, and muscle-building workout!
Stretch/Relaxation/Roll/Restore - Keep calm and unwind in this very low impact fitness class. The instructor will lead you through a series of stretches, foam rolling and relaxation techniques that will soothe the mind, the body, and the soul. This class will interchange techniques from class to class.
Hatha Yoga - A branch of Yoga that focuses on physical and mental health. Hatha Yoga uses body postures, breathing techniques, and meditation with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind.
Wake Up Wednesdays – Body weight tabatas are all you need to give your body a complete and an effective workout. This class is a “HITT”, with varied components of strength, cardio, and core exercises. A class that will surely wake up the body!
Body Shred - Back by popular demand, Terra brings you Body Shred (a trademark of Jillian Michaels). This high intensity interval class will kick up your furnace and scorch some calories while shaping those muscles. Class is only 30 minutes! Includes warm-up, workout routine, and stretch.
Never Miss A Leg Day - Don't forget about your lower limbs! Utilizing athletic intervals, your legs will gain strength and will tone while using assorted equipment. Cardio intervals will supplement this class to burn fat. Never miss leg day again!
Fitness Circuit Class - Follow a series of challenging yet fun fitness stations using a variation of equipment and hand held weights.
Free-Weight Friday - Pump it up! Class consists of a series of strength exercises with spurts of cardio thrown in for good measure.
Participants must preregister for these classes.
Register directly at the TRU Gym - G303. These classes are greatly reduced in price for TRU students only! $30 for TRU students (six weeks instruction and equipment).
Kix 4 Chix - Starts Sept. 16 – A great way to relieve stress while getting a great workout and learning a valuable physical skill. This all-woman environment that provides a level of comfort while creating meaningful and lasting friendships. This session is $25 and will run for five weeks.
Barre – Starts Sept. 23 – Feel the burn! Inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and pilates, barre exercises focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps, small range of motion and movements.
