Campus fitness classes are free for TRU students and TRU staff. Registration is not required; however, classes are on a first-come, first-served basis. All campus fitness classes take place in the Fitness Studio (lower Level of the TRU Gym). Classes are subject to change based on instructor availability.
All classes should be taken at your own pace and intensity. Check with your physician prior to beginning any new exercise regime. Par Q forms must be completed by all participants.

Bootcamp – A combination of strength and cardiovascular exercises. Take class at your own intensity, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced fitness participant.
Slow Flow ½ Yoga – Explore alignment of the body and mind. Classes will focus upon a series of yoga flows including downward dog, warrior poses and opening poses for the shoulders, back and hips. Some classes may include inversions and an opportunity to work up to arm balances. Options will be provided so that everyone from beginner to intermediate will enjoy a well-rounded practice.
HITT It Hard – This high-intensity interval training class will surely get your engine revving! Using HIIT/Tabata formats with both bodyweight and free weights, you will not only get your sweat on during this 40-minute class but the after burn will continue for another 36 hours! Suitable for all levels of fitness.
Bootcamp Circuit – Go at your own pace as you move through circuit stations designed for endurance, strength and power! We will play hard with various equipment such as TRX, Bands, BosuBalls, Battle Ropes and much more. You can challenge yourself and have some fun doing it! Suitable for all levels of fitness.
Free-Style – This instructor-led strength & cardio class will add some variety to your workouts. Choreographed classes using weights, steppers, bands etc. will keep you guessing and wanting more! Suitable for all levels of fitness.
Sweat Express! – This 30 min in-and-out workout is just what everyone needs! Quick, smooth transitions from one exercise to another using free weights and formatted segments of strength, cardio & core. Suitable for all levels of fitness.
Zumba – A class that is perfect for everybody, where “work” is removed from the workout! Low- intensity and high intensity moves are intermixed for an interval style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. All elements of fitness are combined - cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility.
Stretch, Roll & Restore – Keep calm and unwind in this very low impact fitness class. The instructor will lead you through a series of stretches and relaxation techniques that will soothe the mind, the body, and the soul.
