Carpenter Foundation


An introduction to the carpentry trade. Students gain familiarity with hand tools, portable power tools and other equipment. Students also work with lumber, panel products, concrete, roofing materials, fasteners and a variety of hardware.


Graduates can receive credit for first-year apprenticeship technical training.

Admission Requirements

Limited admission

  • BC Grade 10 including English 10, Math 10, and Science 10 or mature student status (Grade 12 preferred).
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
  • Successful assessment test and interview with program coordinator.
