Eight awards of $5,000 each are made annually to the top returning undergraduate student in each TRU faculty, school under a Dean, and CIS athletics. Each January, the top 10 students from each of these bodies will be recognized as nominees based on their Fall GPA. The winners will be selected the following May based on the highest combined fall/winter GPAs at the time of adjudication. Scholarships are for use in the subsequent Fall term. Only undergraduate academic credits will be considered for any aspect of the scholarship.

Awarded annually to a student who self-identifies as Métis entering their second or third-year of the J.D. program at the TRU Faculty of Law. The recipient must demonstrate academic achievement, a connection and commitment to strengthening their Indigenous community at home, where they reside during the academic year, or within the University. Preference will be given to applicants who express an interest in criminal law, social justice, Aboriginal law or law reform. The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Law.

An award provided annually to a top full-time domestic student graduating with the TRU Faculty of Law Juris Doctor degree. The award winner will be one whose achievements have distinguished the student as exceptional. The selection will take into account: academic achievements, research accomplishments, leadership activities and active involvement in the university and/or general community. Additional criteria will include consideration of practical and theoretical achievements, attitude and professional deportment, ability to work with others and leadership potential. This award will be made to the top student possessing these characteristics without prejudice to other awards that the recipient may have received.

The Helping Hands Law Bursary

One $5,000 bursary is available to a student entering the first year of the Juris Doctor program who demonstrates significant financial need. The bursary is paid at the end of each academic year ending in 2017, 2018, 2019, with continued eligibility requiring a minimum 2.70 CGPA and good standing in the JD program. The successful recipient must complete all three years of the JD program at TRU.

CN Canadian Diversity Scholarship

The CREW Network Foundation scholarship program supports future female leaders as they pursue university-level education that will lead to careers in commercial real estate. CWUF Aboriginal Women's Award (AWA)

The CFUW AWA will be granted for studies in specific programs of Law, Medicine, Nurse Practitioner or a Masters in Aboriginal Studies as outlined in the application instructions. The Optimist Club William J Cummer Scholarship

The Indian Equity Foundation and the Alberta Indian Investment Corporation are offering an award each year to First Nation students undertaking post-secondary studies. The award is based upon excellence in a program of studies at the university level. The maximum amount of the award is $1,000 per year. The purpose of the award is to recognize excellence and achievement by a Treaty First Nations person, and to encourage and assist Treaty First Nations people in the pursuit of post-secondary education studies in one/both of the following areas: Law and/or Political Science.
