About Us
The TRU Information Security Office was established in July 2007 as a department of TRU's Information Technology Services Division. Over the intervening years the program has seen substantial maturation with development of a variety of policies, processes, and technologies. While considering the university's tradition of openess and collaboration, this office seeks to provide evidence based risk assessments to determine appropriate levels of protection.
The Associate Vice President and CIO of ITS, is designated as the head of the Information Security Program within the governance structure of the Information Security Committee. The Manager Information Security (Hugh Burley), is responsible for the Information Security Office within ITS . The information security office works with a wide variety of individuals and groups within and outside of ITS to ensure reasonable protection of TRU's information assets.
