The ITS Project Management Office is designed to be a collaborative and supporting resource to ensure the success of desired project outcomes. Processes are meant to enable and support project success; not hinder. Tools and templates can be customized to fit the needs of the user; nothing is written in stone.
The ITS PMO supports the maturing of project selection and resource allocation through the use of project portfolio management (PPM) best practices. By utilizing PPM, the ITS PMO can better forecast from an enterprise level when resources will be available and ensure valued project selection.
Governance is an integral component to the ITS PMO. In collaboration with the IT Governance Advisory Committees, project selection is well devised to ensure the greatest value for ITS and TRU as a whole.
Develop and exemplify prevailing project management standards at TRU.
Operate as an institutional resource by providing TRU stakeholders with tools, methodologies and resources for successful project completion.
