Letter of intent

In no more than 300 words outline the reasons you would like to become a teacher, why you have chosen the TRU B.Ed. program as your preparation and any information you feel is pertinent to your application.

Teaching experience

Using the five categories below, outline the nature and extent of your experiences with elementary/middle-school aged children in group settings, including your experiences in an elementary/middle school setting. Please be explicit about the work you have done. Your outline should not exceed one page in length.

Application Package and References

Ensure you have all requirements by reviewing the Program Information Package. The referees should be qualified to attest to the applicant's suitability for teaching and have observed the applicant working with children in the experiences above. Please use the Reference Report form provided.

Transcripts

Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended except for TRU. Photocopies/faxes of transcripts are not acceptable.

Application fee

A fee of $28.12 for all students new to TRU.

Applications will not be considered until all required documents have been received. Consideration will be given to all applicants who meet the minimum admission requirements. The average intake of students over the last few years has been approximately 30.

Applicants must have completed KL BEd program prerequisites no later than the end of the winter semester that coincides with the deadline for application. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
