ABE Intermediate Certificate
Grade 10 equivalency
BC residents can now access Adult Basic Education (ABE) tuition-free (applicable fees still apply).
The ABE Intermediate Certificate is for you if you are an adult learner interested in attaining your BC Adult Graduation Diploma, preparing for post-secondary studies or entering the workforce.
What Can You Do With This Credential?
Completion of this program can enable you to enter Grade 11 studies, a vocational program or the workforce.
Please include the Program Admission Form with your application.
A minimum of one of the required courses must be completed through TRU (distance or on-campus).
Four courses, as follows:
ENGL 0401, Reading and Writing English
MATH 0401, Intermediate Mathematics
Science (one required)
Consult a Program Advisor for a list of all suitable science courses.
Elective (one required)
Consult a Program Advisor for a list of all suitable electives.
Consult with your Program Advisor to ensure that the courses you select are appropriate for your program of study and educational goals.
If you proceed otherwise, you may find that a course does not meet program requirements and its credits may not applied toward your chosen credential, or you may be required to pay an additional transcript assessment fee.
