Dr. Mignonne Breier

Dr. Mignonne Breier has conducted research on education since 1993, with prior learning assessment and recognition as a key focus. She holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Cape Town and her doctoral dissertation focused on the recognition of the prior experience in university courses in labour law. She is currently the Cluster Manager, Research and Development, at the University of Cape Town. Prior to that, Breier spent five years serving as a Chief Research Specialist in the Research Programme on Education, Science and Skills Development at the Human Sciences Research Council and spent eight years as a Senior Researcher at the Centre for the Study of Higher Education at the University of the Western Cape.
