GEOG 270: Geography of British Columbia

Course Resources

Unit 1 | Unit 2 | Unit 3 | Unit 4 | Unit 5

Working through GEOG 270, you will begin to form regional images of British Columbia — mental impressions of the regional character — based on your understanding, feelings, and interpretations of material covered in the course units.

B.C. Moments is one of the Knowledge Tools produced by The Knowledge Network. It is an on-line, self-directed exploration of the heritage and natural diversity of regions and communities in the province. You are encouraged to use this resource to help develop your regional images of the physical and human geography of British Columbia. Although it has been produced for a general audience rather than specifically for geographers, the video clips, links, captions, maps, and images available on the site will help you in many aspects of your course work.

Follow the narrated instructions and click on the outline maps of the province and various regions of British Columbia to:

  • Watch video clips focusing on the people, culture, and landscapes of the province
  • Browse through B.C. Facts for information about the province and its regions
  • Explore the province by selecting highlighted communities on regional maps
